Dubrovnik, Croatia

June 12, 2016

Dubrovnik is beautiful. But to be completely honest, it didn’t fully live up to our expectations. It’s very similar to Kotor, but without the mountains. And way more touristy and expensive. We spent most of our time at the beach and a cliffside swimming spot. It was mostly locals who hung out there so it was the perfect place to avoid the big crowds and take in the beautiful coast line.

Even though it was super touristy, we still really enjoyed our time there. The city walls were a highlight. It’s a must-do in Dubrovnik and totally worth the money.

We also really enjoyed exploring the old town and the museums. We bought a Dubrovnik Card which includes bus fares for 24 hours and entrance to the city walls and numerous museums. It’s only a few dollars more than the entrance fee to the city walls so it’s worth it if you want to check out a few more places.

We’ll be back in Croatia later next week and can’t wait to see more of the beautiful country!
